Where and why ?

We are Urban Harvest, a Belgian start-up based in Brussels designing and developing sustainable vertical farms in the city! We are working with the hydroponics method in a fully controlled environment to grow microgreens, baby-leaves, leafy greens, strawberries and much more. We are always looking for new smart solutions to improve our systems.

Your role will be to help our passionate small team in our strive to increase the knowledge and know how in this domain, on various projects.

Your profile

We are looking for a motivated, respectful and proactive person to join our small team.

Good communication, organisation and collaboration skills are key.

Fluency in English is required.

We welcome students in bachelor or master for a minimum period of 1month.

Your tasks

Depending on when you start and on your skills and objectives, your tasks may vary as we often start new projects and adapt ourselves to the previous results and to the context.

What is certain is that you will work directly in the vertical farms, taking care of the plants and the strawberries (and the bumblebees if you’re lucky with the timing) and acquiring data. You will also spend time researching, thinking, analysing the data and working with the team to find out the best next moves together.

We will adapt the internship depending on your skills and the ones you want to develop, to make this internship a win-win situation.
