Postdoc vacancy - remote sensing data assimilation into crop models

The Department DAFNE of the University of Tuscia (Central Italy) is recruiting a post-doc with good skills in Matlab and some experience/interest in crop modelling and remote sensing (see attached vacancy description). The goal of the research is the development and/or improvement of algorithms exploiting satellite data for assimilation into crop growth models in support of irrigation management. The work is carried out within an international ERANETMED project “Real time soil moisture forecast for smart irrigation” (RET-SIF) with partners from Italy, France, Morocco, Spain and China.
